Fish A bad day fishing beats a good day at work. Bring your rod and reel and do a little jigging, trolling and bobber fishing. You can catch fish right here on our own Poplar Lake or try any nearby lakes. Area game fish include walleye, smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, lake trout and splake. You'll need a valid Minnesota fishing license.

Boat Guests have access to our boats and motors for use on Poplar Lake. We recommend our neighbors at Ugly Baby Bait & Rentals for boat rentals - they will bring a boat to any area lake for you. If you have your own boat, bring it along. A reminder, some border lakes and lakes that are partially within the BWCAW may not permit motors or may limit motor size.

Canoe Canoe right here on Poplar Lake, head a few miles to one of several nearby lakes or venture out for a day trip into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Guests may use our canoes, paddles and life jackets free of charge.

Hike You'll like our choice of neighborhood trails - quick spurs to overlooks, easy loops, adventurous picnic hikes to waterfalls and sunset hikes. Check out suggested Gunflint Trail area hikes.
